I ran a bit hot on the way home yesterday. I've used some aluminum sheet and pop rivets to repair the missing section of my fan shroud and that helped a ton. Yesterday, and probably today though The temp needle gets above the 210 mark but not quite to the beginning of the 260 area. I think I had read it meant that its running at 225 since its more a position gauge than a truly dynamic gauge. I'd love to have a truly dynamic gauge to see where I'm at. But hell, what do you even use and where just to measure it in the driveway? A meat thermometer?

Just run it, if it get's too hot you'll see steam. The caps are rated at 14 psi I think, so that means you are good to about 260 I think. So, run it and run it hard.

if your worried about it, just put in a aux. coolant temp gauge. Than mount the gauge someplace.
