Wouldn't a 2001 GMC Denali have the same speed limitations as a 2001 pickup truck?

I thought it was speed limited to 96 or 98 mph, I got curious when it went past 100, so I kept going.

Until I saw the flashing blue lights.

FHP Trooper Says "I can't just let you off of this, how does 10 over sound?"

I said "Well, it sounds better than jail, thank you sir"

I would argue that it was entrapment. It is not your fault that Gov't Motors did not put a speed limiter in your truck and then posted a cop to catch you. They have violated your fifth dimensional rights.

Fines are a lot higher in FL than MI. I don't pay state income tax, they have to make up for it some how I guess?

But, I did see some nice boobies last night, so I guess its ok.

Sticky pedal excuse. You should have kept it floored, called 911 and been like "Aaaahh, my gas pedal is stuck! There is a cruiser chasing me. Tell him what's going on!" Then after like 20 miles, pulled over and say you were smart enough to turn the car off. Works every time.

Speed limiters are based on factory tire speed rating. A denali would have them "sissy truck" street type tires that might have a better speed rating on them than a regular pick-em-um truck.
Keep pushing, you'll find the limiter eventually.

Congrats on the lighter fine/ticket.

Speed limiters are based on lots of factors. Tire rating is just one of them.

He could have been the first to discover the GMC sticky pedal issue. It would be all over the news. You think that officer wants that kind of bad publicity? Trying to pull over an innocent person who fell victim to a sticky pedal? I DON'T THINK SO.

I drive a Tacoma and I have ever intention of trying this if I ever see the old red and blue behind me.
