Uhm how do I put this – What does one say to a Canadian border guard when asked about the nature of the visit if one does not wish to reveal the true purpose of the trip?
Like what is a good plausible reason for spending 4 days in Canada alone with no friends or family along?

And before anyone asks please know that no illegal or criminal activities will occur in Canada, it’s just that the nature of the visit has to remain a secret from the government :usa:

this a weird question. Just say you have family in Toronto or something... It doesn't need to be intricate.

Really though, what's in Canada for 4 days with no friends or family along?

Be sure to take your Birth certificate if you do not have a passport yet. Coming back in they can go all Nazi on you.

No, you go through US customs on the way back
But when you go through Canadian going in they log everything you say and make sure it matches I thought? A friend of the family just got quizzed because he took his wife to see her family there, and came back without her because he had a work emergency. They (US customs) held him at the border for awhile while they verified everything and made sure he didn't dump her in the woods.

Just say you are going to Toronto to see the city, maybe go to a show, drink some beer, and you aren't sure where you are staying until you get there and find a hotel room. Then ask them for suggestions on hotels to stay in...

They have never did that to me, and I worked in Oshawa for 8 months. I never told the Canadians I was going to Oshawa, but I always told the americans where I was

You are way too paranoid.....Tell them you're going to the clubs, tell them you're spending four days meditating. I've crossed the bridge into Canada a number of times. Just don't have any guns. Depending on the time of day, and what the Canadians have deemed the 'question of the day' you're not gonna have any issues.

Hint: If you've got a passport it makes it way easy to get back in the USA. Get one.
