What ya got?

Just finished 6 frozen strawberries, a banana, 1 kiwi, 8 ice cubes, 8 oz of milk, 1 scoop chocalate whey protein.

Not bad but not awesome. I wish I still had some protein that was no flavor.

I HATE smoothies i never want to see or hear about them anymore. I work at a smoothie place and it blows.

But the best recipe i know with protein:
1/3 cup sugar or splenda
1/3 cup whey protein
1 banana
2/3 cup blueberrys
2 tablespoons of almonds
about 1/3 cup water
and about 2 cups ice

I really like this mixture. It kinda tastes like a blueberry pancake.

that sounds like pewp. Not a fan of almonds or blueberries.

I never tried to make it a protein type of drink but I combine a few ingredients to make a nice smoothie...

1 orange
1 banana
1-2 rings of pineapple
1/4 cup or maybe a little less of shredded coconut (in the bag or fresh)
4 table spoons or so of coconut "paste" fount in the liquor aisle
1.5 cups of vanilla yogurt
2 cups of ice
and maybe 1/2 cup of pineapple juice to thin it up.

put in the blender and shred it up until you're happy and enjoy..... 2 glasses of that and you're stuffed.

Strawberry Lemonade
I don't know how much of each (this is one I buy when out to lunch)
Strawberry
Lemon juice
yogurt
ice
and the secret ingredient Peanut Butter it doesn't matter the flavor smoothie/protein shake PB makes it better

At home I've been making
1 apple
1 orange
1/2 cup of blue berries
1 1/2 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
1 scoop of chocolate or vanilla whey protein
a splash of OJ
for complex carbs I'll add some oats

another good ingredient is a handful of fresh spinach
makes it look gross but the OJ overpowers it in taste

2 scoops of ON's natural whey and milk.

2 scoops of ON's Pro Complex and milk.

1 scoop of ON's natural casein and milk.


all go down smooth.

Pineapple juice works instead of OJ as well. I'm also a fan of vanilla yogurt and random mixtures of fruit. Strawberries, kiwi, banana, blueberries, rasberries etc.

Surprisingly, thinly sliced apples taste really good too.

In all seriousness, slam the protein, than drink something that kills the taste afterward - That's how us skinny wimps did it in the 80's with Weider's weight gain formula. :teehee:

Chocolate whey protien with milk. MMMMMMMM.

Also a tip for smoothies is to use frozen fruit, then you don't have to add ice and water it down.

1 raw tbone steak, deboned
1 bottle of guiness draught

blend until smooth.
lots of protein and it has a nice aftertaste.

Try and stay away from the RTD's.
They are awful. But I seem to be living on them out here in Scranton.

Vanilla flavored protein (1-2 scoops)
Frozen Strawberries (any berry combo you want, really)
Banana
OJ

Must have a kick ass blender. It makes a big difference. I have a kitchen aide that does the job.
