Wife and I have nearly made the decision to sell the ATVs and put that money towards a side by side. Especially with out new little one, think a good UTV will be much more reasonable to use for the family.

Initially I wanted the Kubota Sidekick, cause of their financing deals, and we want more of a utility one over sport. Don't want like a Rzr or Teryx kind of rig. Problem with the Sidekick is that nobody in the state of MI seems to have them in stock and can only guess at 1-2 months out for delivery of one. Outside the state (that's not way down south) doesn't seem to be much better.

The one that did catch my attention is the CFMoto Uforce 1000. Mainly because of the price, they're much more reasonable than like a Polaris Ranger, plus the Uforce 1000 comes standard with things like a winch, roof, windshield, where the ranger you have to buy them separate (with the base price already 4k more as is). I know back in the day CFmoto was kind of a junk brand, but seems like lots and lots of people love them now; as their quality have seemly gotten tons better. Lots of good reviews on them for the 2021/2022 models. A good friend just bought a Zforce 500 Trail, and while i'm not a huge fan of that one in particular (it's too small for me, and it's very loud in the cab) I chalked it up to the size being a 500, and the trail size for being too small. I read lots of good things on the Uforce 1000, and some bad about it being jerky at takeoff.

Any thoughts or experience on the Uforce side by sides? I honestly haven't' really looked into other brands, we have a yamaha dealer right in town, but their prices kinda suck too, though the Honda Pioneer 1000 seems to get good attention. The sportsman will be going up for sale probably this weekend; going to purdy it up first.

Never. Heard of CFmoto.

since I understand the polaris lineup better, are you looking at Ranger ((full uti) or General (mixed)?
CFMoto has been around for several years. They started out as a gray market ATV supplier from China, similar to Yanmar equipment. Initially they were very cheap construction. Since then they've got a huge following, and the quality is seemingly pretty high. I looked at their quads and side by side Zforce, it's pretty nice stuff. They have some designs that are better than what I've seen in Polaris. That being said, i've never owned one myself.

Looking at more of a ranger than a general. Don't really care about sport, as for me I can just as easily run the ranger for fun down trails and what not. I do like the Ranger 570 fullsize, cause it comes with 3 seats

Contact Karl or one of his boys at Trailsport Motors in Brown City. Trailsport Motors | Michigan's Powersport & Equipment Dealer
Among others, they sell the Intimidator brand SXS, which is American made.

Tell Karl I sent you. He will be sure to charge you more. LOL
This is why I have trust issues....the website says "In Stock" in several places.

Yet the description says to call and put $500 down to hold one. They are on Pre-Order.

Last I checked, In Stock means, they're In Stock?

I do like this one a lot; the specs on it are very nice, and 3 seater too

It's a family owned business. Karl was very active here 15-ish years ago as Ridgerunner. He was a builder when the market went to shit in 2008 and started buying repo'd atv's at auction as a side gig. He has now built it into a business where his wife quit her job to work at the company full time and it supports his 2 20-something aged boys, all while he was fighting cancer. He is an awesome guy with great integrity.

I don't endorse many people but I will go to the ground putting my name behind him.

Polaris 570 or 1000 ranger or forget it. Say ur out in boonies and ya snap a tie rod or axle which happens or something breaks. Where are ya gonna get parts ? Someone in ur group may have s spare Polaris part on hand or there’s a dealer close by. Plus they are rock solid machines. If you are looking at a 3 seater this would be my only option. I live 16 mins from a 1000 acre atv only trail place and you do not see knock off brands. If you do they do not last. No way I’d spend 12k on a cf moto when a 570 ranger is 12.5k. Polaris supposedly stopped taking pre orders and is doing first come first serve. My buddy just bought a 1000 base ranger 2 weeks ago and he said call dealer and get on a list more or less. Serious buyers get called first

If the price is the reason for interest in CF, I would recommend a used unit that is like new. I bought a maverick from a friend last year. Wanted new, but not willing to pay that much. I got my friends in same as new condition with tasteful mods at a large discount.. Not as easy, but can be done that way...

Been looking at the Intimidators since you mentioned them. So far i'm pretty impressed with the build; they're not kidding with being "overbuilt". The GC1K has some really awesome features; I think i'd be just as happy with the 750 classic, though I admit to being apprehensive about it being an air cooled engine. Only problem I have is that the 750 doesn't come with Power Steering, and on a UTV, IMO that's a must.

The problem I have with Polaris is the price tag; a stock 570 ranger full size is already $12.5, and it doesn't come with anything. No winch, no power steering, nothing. All that can be bought separate, which I would do as i'd never pay a dealer $800 for a $300 winch..etc. That being said, if you can take the same $12.5k and add say couple hundred more, and get a 1000, with winch, power steering, front/rear glass, roof, heated seats, better towing and cargo capacity; it's difficult to say "you get what you pay for". All those accessories on even just a 570 ranger, you'd be into it for nearly $20k. Not even going into the Ranger 1000 which already starts at nearly $20k, bone stock.

Even if the Ranger is a better machine, I would say it's also about using it. I don't plan to run it at ATV parks all the time. It's for work and part fun. Also take that with a grain of salt as I've rode in one ranger and it was ok, and one CFmoto and it was ok. The biggest thing is just spending the same money for less machine, and less stuff.

Price is the reason, like I stated above. Like with most other stuff, I have no problem paying premiums, as long as I am getting my money's worth, and not just buying the Polaris name. As with the reasons stated above; even used Rangers go for a premium (also the times right now too, add that factor in as well). There's a very nice Ranger 1000 used for sale at Lakeside Motor Sports, but even that used, being a 2020, has 11,000 miles. That a shitload of miles for less than 2 ish years old and still priced at $16,000. There's a general 1000 as well, a 2019 with 5,400 miles going for $20,000.

Demand drives everything, somehow CFmoto is keeping their stuff at a more reasonable price, and even if polaris or other brand has a better machine, the cfmoto can't be that bad; otherwise they wouldn't be selling so many.

That being said, i'm very impressed with the Intimidator machines; that I would be more likely to spend the extra money on for the same price as the rangers; and the intimidators come with more accessories right out of the gate.

Give him a call.........
Open till 5, and I'm out of work at 4:30; going to call today I think. Very much like the looks of those machines.

Not trying to be a dick but that unit is 18k. What you think it will be worth the day after you buy it let alone 5 years down the road when ur kid is too big for the center seat and maybe ya have another kid ? I’m not trying to push Polaris but that’s what I have. Mine is a 1000xp ranger. Both front and back glass and roof cost me 1300 bucks from a Polaris dealer when they was running a promo where ya spent 1500 ya got 200 off. I have a kfi winch Mount and kfi plow which I love. I don’t know what prices are today but my accessories weren’t bad price wise. I’m sure the other big name brands have 3 seaters in the 18k price range. And that unit has a cvt transmission. Honda has had plenty issues with theirs over the years and I personally wouldn’t buy one but it’s not my money

As an FYI, Karl is also a Polaris dealer. Interesting that they came to him to hock their product.
I like buying American if I can.
