Is there any reason why I shouldn't use RTV or Silicon to seal my tires on my rims. Every time I go wheelin' my tires develop a leak sometimes very fast leaks like from 35 - 0 pounds in an hour or two. I ususally air down to about 15lbs.
Part of the problem is the olf BFG tires. They are tired and used but still have a few more trips on them. The other problem is the aluminum rims are getting chewed on a little. Still shouldn't leak but I'm sure they don't help.
So any reason why not RTV or Silicon seal them on?
