I know there was some confusion about his death since his wife released a statement late last night stating he was still alive but he passed away this AM.

On the Dio solo albums if you turned them upside down it appeared to say "devil" in his name.

Seriously, the only version of Rainbow worth a fukc was with him on vocals. Check out the "Rainbow Rising" album, or "Gates Of Babylon" or "Kill The King" from their subsequent albums. Dio, Ritchie Blackmore and Cozy Powell made some of the best rock music ever.

First concert I ever saw was with Ronnie. Olympia Stadium, 1974. Deep Purple, ELO, and Elf, with Ronnie on Vocals. Right after that tour, Blackmore quit Purple and took Elf and turned them into Rainbow. By the second album, "Rainbow Rising" Blackmore fired everyone except Ronnie.
