well i had only 3 training rides under my belt, 30, 40 and 50 milers... I have gone through multiple conditionings for sports, run 2 half marathons and trained for a third, and today was pain i have never experienced while performing an athletic activity... (obviously from not training)... bike fit felt great, but i definately should have had more miles under my belt, oh well didn't work out...

107.xx miles, total time 6:01:42 moving time... 17.7 ( i think) avg speed there were 5 aid stations so that helped... we stopped 15-25 min at each probably

hurt so much, but it felt great to finish... i will admit that we did have a riding partner that did a large amount of pulling cause he is a stud and too impatient to ride behind myself and his wife, so he'd wait for 5 or 6 miles to rest and then start pulling again

i feel surprisingly good this morning... i thought id have more muscle soreness today... definitely not as bad as running. I still feel a bit dehydrated and i am drinking water like a crazy man. It's too bad that i will forget how awful i felt yesterday because that might make me want to do another one.

We used to ride 100+ road miles every sunday for MTB training. Keeping your electrolytes balanced and staying hydrated is key.

Glad you had a good time! :thumb:

The worst usually hits me around day two. I've been doing alot of running lately and whenever I increase my distance, my legs get pissed off on the second day after.
