My dad dropped off this L.P. 35,000 Reddy Heater to me saying it wouldn't run. The push button gas valve wont stay in once it ignites. Directions say to hold the button for 30 seconds, but 30 sec, 1 min., doesn't matter, it wont stay lit once released. I searched google and got nothing so far. Any tips or info?

heater

usually that means thermocouple is bad. You could always just put a big clamp on it we have the same heater and thats what we do. The thermocouple is just a safety. Live dangerously!:thumb:

Alot of times you need to have the regulator in the right position too.

i have a remington and the button isn't suppose to stay down. You turn it to the light position, press and hold the button and then light it, then hold the button down a bit and it will warm the thermocouple up inside and keeps the LP going. then i let off and the button pops out and it keeps going. If you just clamp the button down, I don't think you can turn the dial to high to get the valve to open all the way.
