I got passed 14 miles from work today, had to slow down for them to turn down the road before my work.

 

The ones that drive me nuts are the people that pull out in front of you from a side street, when there is no one for a mile behind you, then proceed to take all day to get up to the speed limit.

This morning I was thinking I need to clean out the shower drain for the same reason.

What about when they just gotta pull out in front of you, and then take their sweet time to turn off like 1/4 mile later, all with nobody behind you for miles.

 

Sat through most of a turn light behind someone and finally honked, still got the "wtf hands in the air" and the finger, i hate everyone. :whiz:

I just use the draino 7 min gel, that shit is magic. No ooze covered, biohazard hairmutant to dispose of.

Why does 'Buy American' seem to only apply to products that person is making?

Why can products say Made in U.S.A. but when you read the package fine print it says finished in some other country?

 

My faith in Buy American was severely damaged when I bought a Ford HEI distributor off Ebay, only to find an MSD one new and unopened on Craigslist like two days later.

Wound up with both, long story short, the MSD was the same as the Ebay, literally same box and everything, just had English instructions inserted, and an MSD sleeve over the China box.

Then I went to buy a Milwaukee something or other, found out it all comes from Taiwan...

The nail in the coffin was a new Miller welder, "assembled in the USA", from Chinese components.

I started buying everything at Harbor Freight, since it's all coming out of the same factories apparently... Now Harbor Freight want's Miller and Milwaukee prices lol.

 

Yeah and Trump thinks the US could pick any kind of fight with China. What a dummy.

I knew guys that worked at Chrysler that would get pissed at people for buying Toyotas, but had Sony TV's. I worked for Zenith at the time, and when I would call them out on their hypocrisy, their attitude was 'electronics don't matter, and the Japanese stuff is better'

I was at one of the Cleveland Ford plants once and they were all jeering at some poor dude in a POS Civic who had only been working there for like 3 days because he wasn't driving a Ford. They wouldn't let me park my Jeep Wrangler in the lot either :sonicjay:

I buy used vehicles, so I don't put anyone to work there lmao.

 

I like to buy American, but I prefer to buy quality.

It's up to us to make American goods quality. When you say "good enough" or "hey, it's not mine" at work, that drives my sales elsewhere. Somewhere, there is someone saying, "no, this isn't good enough" or "this is a premium product, I'd better do better than if it were for me." I'll buy from them.

There are people out there that want to be the best. They aren't all in our country yet. I support them when I can, no matter where they are.

 

General Motors gave me a roof over my head growing up, paid for my college, paid the hospital bills when my first daughter was born and (along with Ford and Chrysler) provided the baseline of manufacturing support for this entire area, which has given me a great career.

Therefore, my first choice will always be a GM vehicle followed by the other 2.

I will not argue that they are always the best, but I will argue that they are a great product, and especially when talking trucks, you can't beat the big 3.
