Anyone have experience with canvas sliding tops? I am looking into buying an XJ for a winter vehicle/ toy. It had crossed my mind that a canvas slider would be pretty sweet to have.

Any known issues or possible problem areas with installing an aftermarket one on an XJ or even a WJ?

All I know is the new Liberty's have them as an option. the majority I have seen in the past were on VW Bugs. don't know what else ever came with them? as for after market make sure it gives a frame that is strong enough to support the roof structure you will have to cut to install.

Obviously it would be an after market one. Which scares me in terms of structure integrity and the ability to keep out water/ hold the weight of snow.
