Whats everyone getting for scrap steel??

have a bit at home, and a bit at work.....

maby a couple hundred pounds, trying to decide if its worth my time...

$200 a ton at Padnos in Lansing for iron
$.86 a pound for the higher grade aluminums
$.74 a pound for sheet aluminums

Call the scrap yard. They're the best source of information. :thumb:

$450/ton last week. When I pick up the check tomorrow I'll let you know what it was this week :tonka:

I would also like to know where they are paying $300 a ton for scrap cars. Theywere $230 a ton yesterday at Padnos in Holland and thats a gross ton.

we were driving to green bay last fall to get rid copper for $5 a pound, it was about a 3hr drive eachway but well worth it, scrap metal up here is supposedly around 290-295 a ton
