Possibly, although most likely the wireless router it could also be the modem our maybe even both but that's fairly rare.

My dsl modem is also a router. Add a WiFi router and you have 2 routers fighting each other. You need to bridge them or disable
DHCP on WiFi router and use the WiFi router as a access point.
