My hard drive is getting ready to take a dump...I was wondering what the easiest way of copying everything from my old drive to my new drive is? Is there a way to copy everything including operating system? I have all my important documents backed up but I would rather just clone the new drive somehow so I don't have to reload windows and adjust all my setting, tweaks, ect, ect.

Will something like Norton Ghost retain all my settings in windows and all my documents or will it just install my operating system on the new hard drive like factory original?

It literally copies everything block by block.

If your new drive is bigger, you will have to extend the partition and filesystem... or create a second partition.
