Cool. I've had zero trouble with mine.

I need to get my camera cleaned off and take pics. My truck is torn up in the garage getting major upgrades right now.

I still need to come check out your tube bed. I haven't had much time to get up that way. I could possibly do it on Sunday if you're gonna be around and not busy. Let me know.

I'll probably need a tube bed by winter. Mine is rusting fast. And I have room in the garage to work now.

I had a YJ with a frame that rusted out and that's how I got into wheeling. I didn't feel like changing my name once I got my CJ or Toyota.

30 spline longs are stronger than OEM 35 spline dana 60 shafts/joints....:poke:

Sunday I'm just getting back into town. This week and next I'm wroking big time on the truck, as my family is out of town.

Adding:

Diamond front axle (6" wider than stock)
FJ 40 / V6 front brakes
Rear Discs, Supra 1" bore master cyl, dual diaphram booster
38.5 SXs with weld on beadlocks
new gages and senders
120 amp alternator
New exhaust & header
Hydro assist

probably other crap I've forgotten about.

We are really thinking it doesn' tmake sense to do the flattie. We are now thinking Formula Toy, instead, since my Wife misses the sand rail. I want to keep my ~109" wheelbase, which is about impossible without stretching the body.

Realistically, I won't start anything until I move and get the barn completed. Maybe 12 months out. So until then I'll just keep beating my current truck.

I've considered doing the opposite and putting the Buick V6 from my '5 in the toyota. It makes lots more sense to just find a good, running 22re, but that V6 would be interesting in there.

30 splines are $645 for a full set.

I have a pair of 30 spline inners that I don't need anymore. (just pulled them out tonight) I can sell them, but I don't know if Longfield still sells the 30 spline birfs by themselves.

If he does(you'd have to call), and you want to get the inners from me, let me know.

How much did those run you after every thing. I need to get a set real bad. Think the 350 is going to break mine very easy.
My buddy had a warmed-up 350 Chevy in a 85 longbox tht he ran pretty hard and never broke anything. He never played in the dirt though.
