I picked up a free 56" projection TV off craigslist a few weeks ago. The guy said it goes green once in a while when watching, said it just needs to be calibrated.
I can turn it on and the picture is fine, then it can get a green tint to it and a few green lines. It comes and goes, but I would say if I watch an hour of tv on it, 15 minutes would be green. If I turn it off and back on, it usually goes away for a while.
I was looking online and it sounds more like a bad convergence chip.
Is this something that I can replace myself, or do I need to take it in? Its a Panasonic HD projection from about 2003.
