okay a guy wants to trade me a 2008 cbr 1000rr for my jeep and he wants 1600 dollars extra with my jeep, he sais he deals with auctions and gets bikes cheap but this bike doesnt have a title because a guy didnt make enough payments with it and was repo'd or somthing like that, but wouldnt it still have a title? it sounds kinda fishy to me, he said he could run the vin num, when i come down there so he can show its not stolen, so if its not what could i do to get a title, or should i skip this offer?

Make sure you get a title before exchanging any funds or vehicles.

he said that if he gets a title he would have to go through honda and it would be a couple thousand cuz he would have to pay the rest of the bike off,, so isnt that a stolen bike? if there just selling it as a parts bike.. he said i would have to get a diffrent frame to get a title

Don't be an idiot. He told you to buy a new frame to get a title? That doesn't sound remotely legal. Who the hell gave this guy salesman skills?
That's like if I was to buy a car but the seller said "Oh, you'll need to take off the cowl and VIN tag from another car to title it."

How much is your Jeep worth? From very briefly looking on CL for Honda 1000s I found most are in the mid 6000s. I can guarantee if you're a good no BS haggler you can talk the person down to the $5000s with cash.

my jeep is worth like 3000 so id have to sell it first, i know the 08's are goin for 7000 and around 9000 at dealers thats why it sounds really weird to give a bike away like that
