Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated. I believe its a ww2 era usmc military police belt.

It actually looks to me to be an Army (insignia on the buckle) Color Guard belt. If you google "military dress uniforms" and look for images you may have more luck.

thanks, i dont have the belt with me, never seen it in person, ahave searched on 4 different search engines.

definatly a marines belt, the owners dad was a marine.

then...somehow the emblem on the buckle got changed. Our buckles have this:


That really looks like an Army insignia to me.

Definately a U.S. Army insignia on that belt buckle. Not Marines.

tomorrow when I get to work, I'll have some supply guys look up the NSN listed on the bottom picture. That may help...

Unless they discontinued the item and re-used the NSN for toothpaste or something.

Looks like something from the 1960's?

I would say this belt was made for the U.S. Army in 1975 in Kings Point, NY.

I think it's the bottom number. Most NSN's are 13 digits (I think). But, both numbers are 13 digits. So....I'm not sure. I think the top number is a manufacturer code and the bottom number is the NSN.
