I know there are some boat guys on here.

My neighbor (I knew him before he was my neighbor) the hot rodder got bit by a boat bug a couple years ago. He was running a tunnel ram last Summer. Over the Winter he put together a new engine. He had it up to Bud Bash this weekend too. Here are a couple pics.

Its a '74 or '75 Sanger. I cannot remember the name of the group he runs with.

This was when he first put the engine in last week.

A couple of tuning runs this afternoon. He said he wasn't near max. Lots of fine tuning.

Yea, thats his. No more Robin. I think she stops by every now and then. She bought my old Camaro for her kid and it sat at Skip's for a while. Not sure where it is now.

Him and Gary Kennedy are out working on the boat all the time. Skip hasn't touched his Nova or Dually lowrider since he got the boat.

I believe that is the group UP. Suprisingly it isn't too bad at lower R's. When he throttles it though it echoes down the river needless to say.

Went for a ride in one of those on the saginaw river in the 80's. I was honestly afraid for my life. Scared the shit out of me. :beerbang:

That thing is so friggin short. With that motor behind it I'd be afraid of going up and over.

We crashed my buddies dad's 25' Baja 454 on St. Clair on a rogue wave. Alright maybe you couldn't classify it as a rogue but it was a 8-10' swell..

Right out of the Harsen's Island channel he was probably doing 55-60 in 3-4' waves. Hit the swell and went 15' airborne turned 90deg before landing. Impact threw my brother into the front of the boat. I smashed my head on the drivers leg cut my foot :blah: blah: And that was a 25' with a small cabin.

Take some video next time you see him and post it up it's still sweet

Special Ed how fast did you go on that dirt ass sagnasty river?

That is the river I took those pics on. He said he is gonna crack 100 with it.

Oh yea. I don't have a video cam but I might get one with my camera. It will take a short one.

Don't rely on a cell phone camera cause then you'll have to be in the boat for a decent shot.

I'd feel better if you were on shore
