Was the overdrive automatic transmission still an option in '89? My F150 has a 3-speed auto in it from the factory.

aod should of been available, but you got the c6.

What engine do you have? AOD was only offered behind windsor SB and 300-6.

The AOD was used from 82 - 91 as well.

I have the 5.8L (351W) in the truck. I don't want to chang it right now, I was just curious. It has 72K miles on the truck, and it shifts fine. But with the 351W, no OD and 3.55 gears, it's a gas guzzler on the freeway.
