I love this thread! I can't help but be intrigued by you pile of parts shown and zero description lol.

I'm guessing some form of hillbilly dune buggy or sand drag car in the works with the 4 banger version of a ford 460 (OMC470) and T5?
My guess as well.

Change is not always bad but it is always hard for the older folks. :teehee:

RBB:usa:
:( I'm only 36.

1946 cj2a dubbed mary jane

3.7l mercruiser with a t5

Cj5 dana 44 rear
Dana 35 converted into a beam from axle (removed pig)

Coilovers in front

Airbags in rear

305/65r17 in back and 30x9.5 in front

Also going to be making some beadlocks for the sprint car tires to swap onto the rear for dooones

Assuming i like everything, plan to hop up the merc in the future and shave weight on the engine. Aluminum bbf head shaves around 30#.

Figure i can drop about 20 off the rotating mass.

The secondary vibration from the pistons have me a bit worried to push too much power.

Just wrapped up the rear axle last night. Going to start putting the drivetrain together and prepping the front axle

That's a really cool build!! I like that you are using the 3.7L. That's a really unique engine. (Ford 460 head, pistons, and connecting rods)

Picked up a 4 barrel intake. Mocked up distributor.

Waiting on gaskets. Got the new bolt pattern drilled and tapped in the bellhousing. Going to put set screws in the old pattern
