GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Michigan — Police arrested a 22-year-old Grand Blanc man at 2:23 p.m. June 10 for playing his music too loudly.
A man pulled into a party store at the corner of Fenton Road and Maple Road, where an officer was conducting a liquor inspection. The officer said the man drove into the parking lot with his music playing loudly and that when the man exited his car, he left it running with the windows rolled down and the music still playing.
According to police reports, the officer said he told the man to turn it down, to which the man replied, “What?”
The officer reported telling the man again, more loudly, to turn the music down and that the man told his that his speakers weren’t loud and that it was no big deal.
The man then turned the music down, and the officer reported that the man, shortly after leaving, turned the volume in his car back up, this time louder than before.
The officer caught up with him, pulled him over and placed him in handcuffs in the back seat of the police car. He was cited for violating the township’s noise ordinance.
They can do that?

I don't see a problem here. The guy is an idiot for leaving it loud while he walked away. He is a bigger idiot for cranking it back up when he pulled out, because obviously he was telling the officer to fuck off.

All those loud speakers are is to get attention, and he got it.

I can pretty much say single handily that I am the reason the sign Twisted is talking about is up in st joe. back in the day.. dating myself here... anyways used to say no amplified noise. got the ticket, took it to court and had it thrown out. same officer nailed me a few weeks later got thrown out again because there clarification at the time for amplified noise was very gray.. they changed it shortly there after. As for grand haven.. they can pretty much suck my left nut payed for a few of there tickets, but did manage to get two officers fired for mistreatment and gross misconduct

Welcome to Grand Haven Mi. We to have a law against loud stereos. Come here spend your money but do not make any noise.
summer 1994. i remember everyone bumpin their shit down in the GH. it got so bad that they had to do something. Now those pricks just go to south haven where they belong.

My friend and i got jumped that year for no reason other than my buddy having a hat that some Ninja wanted. Coast guard weekend crossing the street. No one did anything while 6 big ass ninjas beat us down, im guessing they were in their mid 20's and we were probably 15 or 16. NO ONE DID SHIT.

Im glad that law exists to keep all the annoying Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow's outta GH.

Not to hijack the thread, but why do so many people think cops are assholes? If you're breaking the law, they're gonna go after you. They aren't doing it just to piss you off.

The other day I was pulled over (keep in mind I'm 17) for going 40 in a 25 followed by a rolling stop through a red light on a right turn, and top top it off, I wasn't wearing my seatbelt. Officer let me off with a warning on the speed and red light, only got a $65 citation for the belt....not sure how he was an asshole. But then again, those damn cops are out to get us.:poke:

You're lucky they didn't pull you out of the car, punch you in the face, throw a puppy at your, taze you, and then shoot your grandma. I bet they didn't do that because they heard Trendsetter was nearby though. You should thank him.

Also, they were clearly violating your rights. You should sue.
