I rec'd a catalog from a corvette parts/restoration place. In it they offer an adjustuble Mass Air Flow sensor. It claims "insane throttle response" and "Huge hp and torque increases". It appears to have a variable resistor inline with the maf signalwire. Do you guys think this has any merit ? Initially I thought not. On further thinking, I seemto have myself convinced that a modification like this may actuall work. If so, this may be just what the old 7.4 vortec needs.

the maf works on how much air is passing over a coil. the more air that is pulled through it the cooler the coil gets and the car knows that more air is being used. it then add more fuel. from the soulds of it all its dooing is tricking the computer into giving it more fuel. same thing a super chip does.
huge power? prolly not. but I'm willing to bet you could gain some.
