We dont take kindly to no book learnin round here.

Im an EMU and MIOA (now MIAT) grad. Aside from ypsilanti and their main lecture hall being dumpy, EMU was pretty good. I had fun and learned a lot. Aside from two I had the profs were really good as well, very down to earth and personable.

MIAT was very fun, and didnt really feel like school. Though, there were a lot of idiots and bottom of the barrel types that really didnt want to be there that made learning difficult sometimes.

Mark J and Pray Harold are both being redone this year, should be very nice facilities when complete. I think every academic and athletic building we have are competitive with comparable schools in Michigan and Ohio. If you are ever interested in taking a looking a look at Eastern, shoot me a PM and i could show you around or give you some contact info to someone who could.

With that being said, take it from a guy who just switched majors and is in a large sum of debt due to student loans. Look into community college first! I regret not going to Washtenaw Community College (about five minutes down the road from Eastern's Campus) before enrolling at Eastern. Almost every Community College in Michigan has instructors that are easily up to par with private and public institutions. Many of these instructors/professors are employed by both community and public universities. Washtenaw has several instructors that also are lecturers at University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan. Look into community college, you can get the same education at a third of the price.

Provide some info as to what type of school you are looking in to and what you want to do for a major.
