We own a salvage yard located in Detroit. Here is what we are looking for.

somebody younger in their early 20's preferably that is willing to make a career out of this.

As of right now the job will be counter sales and dealing with customers, and work pulling parts when we get backed up.

Must have good general automotive knowledge & hand on experience

Must be good with computers & computer technology & typing

Also need somebody that we can give a project to, and be able to put a job together and complete on their own. People who can work/think fast.

Starting pay is $10 an hour. We are a new business and once we get going & expand we will add commission

This is not like most salvage yards, we are working for an organized, clean, and professional environment.

We would like our employees to make a good living and eventually have a comfortable pay they could build a good life around when the business expands to the level we would eventually like to be at. That's why we are looking for people who would like to be here long term.

We are very laid back, but we are all here to work. I am not the type of boss that is going to bark orders at people and tell them what to do. I expect people to work hard and get their stuff done.

Contact me if anybody has any questions.

This is perfect for Kodiak.

Would there be bonus for bringing junk err.. parts cars in?
x2! He's unemployed right now. We razz his ass quite a bit... but I get a feeling that he's a pretty good kid.

Isn't it illegal to not hire someone based on age?
Yes. Unless you can prove they don't have the physical ability to complete the job.

You might as well say you're looking for a 19 year old blonde with big tits.

I don't see how he said anything wrong by stating the preferred age of potential employees...he did not say he would not hire anyone over XX age...

honestly, this does sound like a good job for Kodiak...he may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but he does seem like he would be a hard worker and self motivated.
