I hate to do it, but I'm leaving Michigan this month. I've accepted my grandmother's offer to move into her house in Indiana. No rent, no house payment, 5 acres, and when she dies, it's mine free and clear. I just can't beat that. I don't have a job lined up yet, but I have a couple possibilities and one interview.

where in IN? i moved to Laporte, IN about 3 years ago. Up to that point I had never lived any where but MI (Ann Arbor, Kzoo, Utica). Its not a bad state, people are nice, pace is a little slower (like that).

Yep, call me a grandma's boy, but I don't have to make a house payment!!
I'll be in Dublin, Indiana, 55 miles east of Indy. I spent every summer in that house from 8-19 years of age. I've got 5 acres, and 2 garages. I'll be a happy camper. I know according to Father Obama, I can spend my entire life on welfare, but I wasn't raised that way. My parents taught me to work hard for my wages, and that's what I'm gonna do.
