Bill or others.......

I am putting back together my D60 this morning after replacing the wheel bearings. Does anyone know the procedure / torque specs for setting the correct wheel bearing preload on a 1978 F350 Dana 60 front?

I have searched google and found nothing. Thanks.

sorry so late but better than never...

I torque the inner nut to 45 ft lbs and back the nut off a 1/4 turn. Then install the flat washer with holes in it , or the one with spider legs. Than I torque the outer to 60 ft lbs.

Thanks Bill. I found some D60 manuals on Pirate that said 50 - 1/4 turn and 50 for the lock nut so I went with that.
