My buddy sent me a text that his father-in-law was done with his projects with this old beast and they wanted it out from behind the barn. He through me a ridiculously low price, and now we have a new farm toy. I don't know much about it other than it runs and dumps but what else do you need to know when you pay less than scrap price for a farm toy. I should be driving it home later this week and will know more about it then.

learned something this weekend if you over reve Papa with the PTO engaged he twist and spits his PTO shaft out on the ground. To the up side I did get two loads dumped before I broke him, I tried to straighten it with Chet but it is still way to far off so I am going to replace the bent section with some bar stock and hope for the best.

Saturday Papa Smurf got a workout, We relocated 11 loads of concrete to the future pole barn drive. After, I got the culvert installed midway back allowing the surface drainage to continue flowing South from the parking lot to my South ditch. I could not believe how much he could lift when dumping.

Papa helped with cleaning out the bonfire pit and it became obvious to me it was time for some new boards.

The 2x6 along the back window might help save it, as I have already had to many close calls loading chunks of concrete.

I was going to remove that HF crane post as most of the time it is in the way but I have found it is a very convenient handle to grab with my bucket to push or pull the truck while working along a ditch line. I leave Papa in neutral and can shove him around as necessary from the seat of Chet.
