i have a 2000 1 ton 2wd pick up with a 4l80e. would a 96 4l80 mated to a 350 be the same? thanks guys

mine 454 2wd 1 ton
other 350 2wd 4l80 6 bolt converter 1 ton

yup it'll work. as long as your not going from gen 1 engine to a gen 3 it'll work. only diffrence being
"Gen III engines bolt up to any automatic transmission that works with the older 350s and 454s. The only difference is that Gen III engines aren't cast to accept one of the passenger-side bellhousing bolts that most auto transmission dipsticks bolt to" and i think the converter bolting pattern is diffrent

Yup that will work. ask for a pic of the passenger side or ask the guy if the return cooler line is in the middle of the case on the passenger side. If it isn't, it is no big deal, you'll just have to reroute a trans line.
