As high of gear as possible that you can run without lugging the engine. You want to be able to spin the tires.

Since you didn't post your vehicle, tire size, gearing, weight, engine, transmission, etc, you can't really answer it.

For something with a decent power-to-weight ratio, start with a gear that gives you appox 200-230 rpm/mph.

I'm actually conservative with the Adrenaline Trucks Numbers.. I was told he runs Hi Range on the T-case.. Second Gear on the Trans .. and 4.10 gears in the axles.. So if you look they are running double the wheel speed that Tony's jeep is and we've all seen what tony's jeep can do..

lol i got a 1997 Dakota with stock gears... I think 3:73's or something like that with 33 BFG/MT's
maybe just aim for the puddles then...
