3 hours? did it fight you? was it easy?

easy+ good friend=60
fight you+good friend=75
easy+ someone you know=125
fight you +someone you know=175

edit: If he helped or even just was there to hand you tools, just make him buy you dinner.

it doesnt really matter what a professional shop would charge, you are not a professional shop, you dont carry the insurance, pay labor + benefits, offer a full warrenty, or pay any of the other overhead a shop has, not to mention if you want to consider it that way, you cannot charge for how long it actually took, but only for how long the book says it should take

if its a friends vehicle, money causes problems...work out a trade, have him do some work around your yard, house, etc, or buy you dinner, beer and pizza, whatever, but dont make it a cash only deal...besides, shouldnt you have already worked out the cost before doing the job?

I think that job calls for about 1-1.2 hours. I get $50/hr for side work so I would say 50-60 bucks if I were to do it.

Note: I charge people book time. If it says 1 hour and it takes me 20 minutes, I charge an hour. If it says 1 hour and it takes me 2, I charge an hour. It's just the way the game is played.

I usually charge $30/hour for everything I work on Solo for other people.
