How does everyone get values for used firearms?

This is what a buddy of mine uses.

+1 for gunbroker, you can see live auctions and see buy it now prices, you can search completed auctions and see what they are selling for. There are some other auction sites too, but I haven't really kept up on them. Blue (sp?) Broker use to be another one.

Armslist too, you can more easily search by region. You can't necessarily see what they are going for, but you can see asking prices and get an idea about what you have.

I generally google the firearm with "for sale" and use a bunch of different sites to see a general price. AK can be hard because there's so many companies that manufacture then, and have manufactured them. I sometimes have a hard time finding a value because a lot of what I have sold aren't made anymore, so I can't even compare it to a new price.

What I have is an Arsenal SLR 107 FR. I'm only selling it to put it towards bronco downpayment.
I have been told gunbroker is not reliable as thats what is being asked and not what they are selling for.
I wonder if I can somehow see what they are selling for by signing in?

I reserved it on the first day. I haven't placed my order yet. All orders have to be in before march 19th for the reserved ones from my understanding.

I was talking to a buddy of mine about what you are selling. He thinks you should be able to get around 1k for it. (just based on his experience buying and selling firearms)
