truck randomly starts missing when it gets warm, in midrange rpms, its got ALOT of power loss when this starts happening.

is the TPS bad? I tried adjusting it with that article, but i didn't get a reading on the middle 2 steps. sorry i'm just lost on this thing. i can't drive it very far like this and i'm out of ideas. I don't really have the $86 to drop on a new TPS. so i hope its not that.

what do you guys think? timing is spot on valves are adjusted fine. its throwing a SES code though.

Make sure you have your coversheet on the TPS report or Lumberg is gonna have a shit-fit.

Sorry. Had to say it. Never messed with them other than a reseal job on my old one.

when troubleshooting any TPS, you need to know what voltage ranges are acceptable....usually you will find a dead spot in the POT on the TPS though...simply attach your multimeter leads and check voltage. Apply throttle slowly and watch voltage level. If you see the meter goto 0, bad news.

oh yeah, engine doesn't have to be running to check this either..just make sure they key is on
