I have drilled out the shoulder rivets on my Wagoneer hinges so I can powder coat them in pieces. Is there anything I can use to reassemble them that will look factory? My only option I can see right now is to put in a sleeve and bolt them back together but I do not like the way that looks.
Thanks

Have you ever used solid rivots? They are solid slug of aluminum you expand with an air hammer. You must have access to the back side of the rivot to use them however. They look a lot better than those cheap ones with the hole in it.

Thanks gentlemen, I am intrigued by the solid rivet idea but have never used or seen one. Any suggestions as to where these may be available? I looked on line and most places want to sell a box when I only need 12 or 14 of them.

The hole is 7/16 but would require a short sleeve to prevent the rivet from compressing the hinge pivot points. I intend to drill and install a ½ OD x 3/8 ID sleeve in and use either a 3/8 rivet or bolt to assemble the hinge back together or a 7/16 rivet if I can prevent it from expanding to the point that the hinge cannot swing open. Let me know what you may have, I will be more than willing to pay for these.
