98 Outrage 18 with a 135 Merc.what size/engine/year. its hard to go wrong with a whaler.
From my experiences "back in the day" there's a lotta truth there. I used to spend Friday - Sunday at the marina and it was like a nonstop party and you were always on someone else's boat - very hospitable people powerboaters....You missed one hell of a weekend.
A major reason boats>wheelers are the people. I had the only go-fast on B dock. Within 2 hours, kate & I were on the neighbors Sundancer heading to deckers for dinner/drinks. Had a great time. Then came back, and the bar at the marina was packed. Saturday watched some of the races, went by the moot, then got off the water before the storm. Kate & I ended up sitting in the bar drinking Oberon for 4 hours bs'ing with all the other folks there.
It was nice to do a trip and have zero drama.....which seemed to happen on several wheeling trips.
There's a reason (besides "compensating") I had a 24 Magnum when i was a single guy...Another nice thing about boaters are the racks that come with them......I swear 1/2 of the marina chicks have fake tits.
Also, if you ever want to nail a towny....hang at the marina bar friday night. Bitches would do anything to get on a boat for Saturday. Even my wife (who is A LOT nicer than I am) commented on that.
Early model 24 Magnum with a pretty run-of-the-mill 370 Merc / TRS drive. Kiekhaefer tabs, Gaffrig controls. I didn't have a GPS then, but the speedo saw upper 60s several times - I suspect it may have been a little low. Name when I bought it was "Screamin Seaman", changed to "unnamed".sweet specs on mag?
