I made an attempt to make a front bumper for my truck (Sonoma) a while back using 1.5in pipe, but it did not turn out like I had hoped for a few reasons. The bends were made on a hydraulic bender so the pipe has got kinks in it on the backside and I had to do some plug welds to keep the width of the bumper right. I ended up not finishing it and was planning to use it for scraps.

There is also a small contour on the bottom of the grill that I wanted to follow as best I could, which I was unable to do before.

I am looking for somebody near Traverse City that has a mandrel bender that would be able to help me out.

I don't think you'll find anyone who'll do it with a *mandrel* bender.

You are looking for someone with a rotary draw bender...

Bumper Help

Okay, well this is basically what I was looking to do.

Good thing for MS paint, eh?

A skid plate was going to be incorporated into the bumper also (eventually).

I really just need someone to do the bends for me.
