I would have to agree somewhat on that. I'm sure there's balsy people that would do the same on here.

But yes all the negative comments are stupid. Who cares, it was a sweet video to watch, guy just destroyed a rig with $10,000 or more in shocks and bumps. Quit bitchin and enjoy it and be glad it's not you :sonicjay:

Who Cares? You're not serious?

Jumping is one thing..............being an idiot risking lives in a public park, is beyond stupidity. What would have happened had that thing gone into a group of spectators.

Do that crap in a private park, not Silver Lake.

They weren't just going about it blindly though. The guy on the hill was waving him the ok to go. And anyone in the area knew exactly what was going on.

I think you are confusing ballsy and bravery with stupidity and lack of concern about possible negative outcomes.

What about the people at the bottom of the hill on the back side? Could they see him. Silver Lake is not the place to do this. Unless its after hours or in a closed off area.

Ok guys I'm not the one doing it nor am I stupid enough to. Don't get upset because I enjoyed watching the video.

It's silver lake, watch your ass because nobody else is going to watch it for you.

I know because the douchebag in the blue long travel rail that says watch out under it.... Came about a foot to the side of running me over on my quad one day. Now I watch out for my self as everyone else needs to.

The point being made is not that the video was not enjoyable. It is that in a public park this is not the type of behavior that's is favorable to keeping it open for others to enjoy. Yes it is a congested area that is dangerous as is. Actions like this not only increase this danger, they also give fuel to future closures. Think what you want but this is not something that should be allowed. Not knowing Mike I assume he is an egotistical prick who likes to flaunt money in areas that will draw a large crowd. If this is un true why didn't he get permission to do this stunt in a closed environment?

I understand your point but silver lake is full of egotistical pricks flaunting money. Your NEVER going to get rid of them, so my point is watch your ass and when you see a guy on a hill waving and a large crowd gather.. Stay away if you want to play it safe.

I'm not saying I'm one of these people. I make minimum wage and don't even beat on my rig a lot. But silver lake is not a place to expect other people to give two shits about your safety. That's on you and every other person who drives in that gate to make sure they themselves make it out safely.

The jump by Douglas was nothing of the same. Sweet none the less but not even remotely the same situation.
Because he jumped as far and actually kept the truck flat and landed it and continued to race? Yeah, I agree.

Seems like everyone is jealous they don't have the money to jump super sweet raptor pro trophy trucks and set world records. The guy has balls bigger than anyone's house on here.
LOL. Sure..

Wow. I wonder who's old Pro-Lite it was. That is some serious frame bending right behind the cab. I though they had more of a diagonal running to the back of the chassis.

are you the fun police?

where does it state that a vehicle must go x amount of speed and not go x amount in the air? whats the difference between that jump and the hillbilly shit on the drag strip. one of those trucks could blow a tire and fly into a crowd watching. :poke:

I'm guessing it would be memories of this:

I witnessed a similar jump off Test hill back in the 90's in a CJ 7. Unfortunately they went nose first, and the passenger in the front seat died while I was talking to him. (the windshield folded him in half at his rib cage).

I know how you feel, same guy, same situation as me. I was taking my time on the hills behind test and those guys came over the top of those hills at a million miles an hour and almost took me out. Those guys are way more dangerous than what this guy did.

:thumb: people always have to be negative about everything someone else does. Sure it was dumb, it could have been done better, but its still fun to watch!

Exact same thing. Literally I started shaking and went back to the truck and loaded my quad up it was that close. Since then I'm very cautious
