A buddy of mine has a K5. He pulled the gas tank because he got a Fuel Cell. Now he's mounting the fuel cell behind the rear seat. A seat that will carry passengers from time to time. I told him that he should move it below the passenger compartment and make a hatch.



I'd like to hear you guys opinion about the placement of his fuel cell.

Safe or Not safe?

safe- as long as there are no fumes.

Unsafe- if there are leaks, or the fill port is directly behind the passengers... unsafe if smokers

I wouldn't think it would be a big deal as long as the cell is vented correctly out of the cab?

I'm sure there is no plan to make a filler tub. Just go with what you see. Cap right on the cell.
