In the mud no less. His name is Joe Mannion and theres a bunch of other videos on the youtube of him flying over stuff that the guys on 66" tires struggle through. He's on seriously cut 40" boggers by the way.

That truck was quite impressive at the snow challenge. He didn't have a chance in the class he was in. But still very bad ass and whoever cut those boggers wow those things are wicked.

I was standing about 20 feet from it in front of the green CJ, and the screaming broad in the truck is a friend of mine, video doesnt do it justice, seemed like it stood on its nose for a good 2-3 minutes when it happened...

Really he didnt have a chance?? I wouldn't thnk that would be possible with 1200HP under the hood.

This is actually the third version of it. I built the first one 6 years ago when we didn't really know what we were doing and without all the parts at the time. It was mostly a round tube frame and primarily for the dunes. Now it's more for the mud and since the first build there are things that need to be placed in other spots for better weight distribution and to make room for the second complete fuel system for the nitrous ect. Two years ago he built another one with some tweaks but it still wasn't where he wanted it. Last year he finally built this one and it's obvious his skills have gotten better and its about how he wants everything. Its a more basic frame made out of rectangle tube and it finally sits a lot lower now too. Now I just cut all the brackets and give some advice, not that I know what I'm doing on a "mud" truck. Plus he refreshes and builds up the motor about every season.

Sorta. He cetainly had the motor for it and he hasn't even needed to run the nitrous yet. He smoked the first guy he raced so he let up about half way up and afterword he saw that the rear truss for the upper links was bent and a weld broke so he didn't even run anymore. It was finished about an hour before being put on the trailer so it still had some bugs. Plus he probably would have ended up losing because with his setup it puts him in the classes with the mud skippers and sand dragsters. Although when he takes it to sand drags they all laugh but after he spanks a couple of the dragsters with his "big dumb mud truck" they sure like to come over and crawl all over it when he's not around.

The boggers are cut by a guy in wisconsin or minn. He takes something like 70 pounds off each tire and his wheels are only like 8-10 pounds each.

I saw that truck in another video. Looks like it moves pretty good. What's the specs on the motor (size/heads/etc.)
Not sure of the specifics (except hp and tq numbers) but I know its a 5xx something with I think Dart heads. It has an aftermarket block but can't remember if it's aluminum or not. I know I've heard the terms billet, forged crank, blah, blah, blah. But two words that are always used are "expensive" and custom". It does indeed run very strong and the compression isn't that high since it was built to be able to run at least a 500 shot of nitrous, although I don't think he's even shot it yet since its latest buildup.
