lolWhy isn't this in the bin yet?
I am in no danger of losing access to the paved roads in Michigan in the event that I am caught speeding. However, illegally trespassing off-road does increase the chances of us losing what little legal wheeling we have left in this state. Yes, we probably have all broken the laws and wheeled illegally. But, the point is that unless we as a group educate ourselves and those that are new or unaware, nobody else is going to do it. If we don't police ourselves, the DNR will do it and will bend over to the environmental lobby and close even more lands to us.There seem to be an awful lot of saints on this thread. I'm quite sure he isn't the first one of us to stretch the limits of legal driving in Michigan (did you break the speed limit on your way into work/school today? I did.). I am not condoning the breaking of laws that get more of our land taken away by enviro-nazis, but we were all young and new to off roading once. Chide him once and get on with helping the guy. Letting him get impounded won't teach him anything other than the fact that Jenny won't even say thank you when she emptys his wallet. He made a fair offering of compensation that I'd accept if I were in the Flint area today.
fixed it for yaHorseshit. aka Poop
Politically I am on your side. But I think the problem is we are always on the defensive. These enviromentalists don't really care what trails you use. They don't like what you do and how you do it. It's like the anti-hunting crowd. They don't care if it's legal, their jihad is to hamper you every way they can. They don't compromise, we do. They look at our 4x4s on the highway like ecological denizens that should have been made extinct long ago. While small wooded lots where you get popped for poaching a trail today will be sold at auction by DNR tomorrow for a strip mall or Super Kroger/meijer/K MART.I am in no danger of losing access to the paved roads in Michigan in the event that I am caught speeding. So should we hypocritically insult and make a mockery of someone who may not have known the difference?I am in no danger of losing access to the paved roads in Michigan in the event that I am caught speeding. So your against Illegal wheeling unless you get paid to do it while recovering someone? And you don't condone breaking the ORV laws, but don't want the DNR to catch people breaking them and enforce those laws. That makes sense...........I am not condoning the breaking of laws that get more of our land taken away by enviro-nazis, but we were all young and new to off roading once........ ...... Is this an illegal mudhole?Unfortunately yes, But theres no cops over here or DNR. Its the boonies.
He admits he knew this was an illegal area and that he's run from the DNR before while there. Why go back there if you know it's illegal and have been chased before??? Obviously he hasn't learned and an impound/fine might hit home a little better. Most the time you dont see DNR out here, But I mean there is times ive had them chase me on my three wheeler once, That wheeler was a beast though for what it was lol. And matter of fact I just seen DNR when i looked outside my window.
He openly admitted that he knew it was illegal and that he has run from the DNR in the past. FAIR GAME.So should we hypocritically insult and make a mockery of someone who may not have known the difference?
you mean making a mockery of the guy who's posting that hes ran from the DNR before? So should we hypocritically insult and make a mockery of someone who may not have known the difference?
I don't hope for that. I hope he learns his lesson, and doesn't go back there.I hope the DNR is sitting there waiting for him to show up...
hey lets go to lunch. while we ae at it we can go wheelin over behind meijers in the swamp.:tonka:He openly admitted that he knew it was illegal and that he has run from the DNR in the past. FAIR GAME.
I think someone saying "hello" in introductions is the minimum requirement :tonka:Whats the guidelines for making a mockery of somebody on this site? I'm curious.
