I edited it before anybody else posted but it took a minute to change.

 

Order of operations says do (4/4 - 3/3) first. Get them in LCD, so 4/4 is the same as 12/12 and 3/3 is the same as 12/12. 12/12 - 12/12 equals 0. 5(0) equals zero.

5/4ths of people have a problem with fractions.

if you really still need an answer with your work, i'm sure the problem says something like solve for in fraction term, do not simplify, which mean you cant simply convert 4/4 and 3/3 and 5/5 to 1.
to subtract 4/4-3/3 you need to have like denominator. so 4*3=12. Denominator will be 12. so your fractions are 12/12-12/12. You only subtract the numerator. (the answer is NOT 0/0) your answer in fraction form is 0/12.

Then multiply 5/5(0/12) you multiply numerators and denominators together.
5x0=0 and 5x12=60. Correct answer is 0/60

Thats how you get 0/60 and not just 0. The answer is different. 0 is simplified and 0/60 is not.

True. I didn't notice the question said anything about simplifying anything. Usually the teacher would say to simplify it so 0/60 = 0. I hate fractions.

I spend a lot of time at work converting fractions to decimals. As far as I'm concerned decimals are easier but it just goes with my line of work.

3/3 is 3 not 1 3/3 is a whole fraction equaling 3 not 1. So for those that did not pay attention in elementary school. You have the correct answer.

1/1=1
2/2=2
3/3=3
4/4=4

0/60=0 they are exactly the same.

If you are asked to show work, show 0/60=0. But 0 is the final answer.

If you just say 0/60, you look retarded.
