Who is a trustworthy/reasonable mechanic in Waterford area
2007 Suburban with 5.3 AFM (Active fuel management)
Needs lifters replaced. Runs and drives

From what I have researched it is around 10 hour job and parts are 350-600 depending on where.
PM me with phone number and info
Thanks!!

The lifters should last the life of the vehicle. I would have to ask myself what caused the lifters to go out.

Occasional flaw in the GM AFM design. It happens. That is why there is an AFM delete kit out there. I used a Diablo InTune (for 400 dollars) and turned AFM off after my old truck did it.
