3/4 are normally semi floating, 1 tons are full floating. BUT a 3/4 ton can have a hd suspension upgrade from the factory and use 1 ton axles. Both of my f250's had the 1 ton axles under them.

10.25 can be a FF axle, there was a SF version with 7 lug bp used in the HD F150 of the late 90's. The HD 10.25 was used in 3/4 and SRW 1 tons. it is comparable to a Dana 70 for strength, it will have drum brakes, and std. 8 on 6.5 bp. Plenty of gears and lockers/posi's available.

it's a great axle to upgrade too, will add a lot of weight, but it'll be hard to break. also, make sure you measure it up, i've heard some people have a tough time getting them to line up and fit in their 1/2 tons, but unsure of what years.
