I hope to make it this year, and I would pay 20 per person for a catered meal...just my .02
Thats a very fair price for a christmas party with food.
:stan:I accept! If you're going to go ahead and pay for everyone, we should have quite a turnout.
Speaking of that, check into the Highland House for catering, their food is awesome.
We charged 18 for two meal, camping, Campfires. and still had people complain...
It don't matter what you do someone is going to put up a fuss.
Buckets of Chicken
I'd like to have it catered, and I want to keep the price down.
We can either go expensive super tasty food, and pay close to 20 bucks a person, or we can go cheaper with subs, salads, and the like for closer to 15 dollars.
I want to keep the price to cost, as I don't see any reason to make money off this. So I have to figure out my food bill, as this is the only variable in setting up the final cost.
I know hall rental, and the DJ fees. And I'm going to speculate around 200 people..
CC, If needed, PM me on this since I have a friend who is in the catering business. If anything she can quote you a price. Food is GREAT.
I am willing to pay $20 and even more pp.
So if you dont want any more PP - what kind of beer do you want? I can make it myself :tonka: .I'll send you a pm, but we don't need anymore pp
I call repost, your wording is verbatim to last years post.
if everyone that went to the party last year and enjoyed the food that option is still available.
Winter is coming, are we going to run away to an island together this year?I don't get you. So what if that wording is the same? For the record, before CC took this over, I did it for two years, and I also asked the same thing each year just to get a feel for what folks wanted to do. In fact, in case you are interested, the original Christmas parties started out as a dish to pass thing, and the cost was STILL close to $15 a person.
If you want to be so critical, please feel free to take over the planning of this. It is not an easy task, and takes lots of time and effort to make sure that the 4x4 community continues to make a sizable donation to Bear's cause. I'm sure that you won't much care about this either, but this Christmas gathering consistently has raised close to, if not more than, one thousand dollars for Bear's cause.
Okay, my ranting is done. Sorry, CC, for hijacking your post, but I know first hand how much work planning this get together is.
Flame away. I have small children---I can handle brutal honesty :d:
