Hey guys i've been working on replacing the floor pans in my yj anyone have any pics or advice for pan replacement.

1 oem weld in replacement pans
2 pop rivet sheet aluminum
3 glass & mat
4 board + floor mat
5 expanded metal
??? how nice does it need 2b

My floorpans are courtesy of Steelcase. Piece of thick sheetmetal from file cabinet they were tossing at work. Cut the rusty sections out, cut the sheetmetal to size and bent to the proper shape and welded it in. Then cleaned everything up and hit it with POR 13. Then some paint. Then some undercoating on the bottom side. Good luck...and beware the tetanus.

oh wow how was welding that, i've nvr tried welding stainless.

I did the passenger side, heres how it turned out

thats the rear i didnt replace that part but it looks nice right?

that was replaced

Quadratec replacement panel
Cut out ALL old rust, prep well, weld new panel in place.
Seal seams with a flexible caulk.
Finish with Herculiner.

welding stainless to mild steel is easy
for wire feed buy 309 wire and run try-mix gas,
stick- 309L (dc) (run flat or up hill only)

tig- 309L and try-mix or helium
he really has no idea what he is talking about. he is just trying to sound smart:tonka:
