I noticed those as well. My first thought was all the spare parts making your wheeler a little lighter and more efficient.

For my Youtube channel, I often walk the junkyards.

Yesterday I spotted a 3.4l 4runner with a 4.30 ratio and Elocker, so I was there bright and early with my bolt cutters and sawzall to score a 123.00 locker!

I won't be putting it in until after I have the thing running under its own power, but it's nice to be able to grab things when I find them.

Flywheel is done, this LCE flywheel weighs 38 lbs, a stock 3.4 flywheel is 26 lbs, a stock 22re flywheel that most people seem to swap from is 22 lbs.

Wanted to get more done over the weekend, but got sucked into a step install on the inlaws yard truck.

Stupid steps bolt to the rockers, and they don't have any rockers lol.

Anyway, I did get the V6 crossmember cleaned up, got my trans setback plate welded to it, and got a coat of paint on it.

Clutch is installed, bellhousing fits perfectly, I'm an oil system and fuel system away from firing this thing.

In the nicer months, I tend to focus on my C10, had it out today

So, material shortages and plant shutdowns have everything pretty slow. I've been able to use my time productively lol.

This is an old check fixture they cut up to scrap, so I salvaged a piece to relocated my oil filter and block my EGR. They sell plates for this, but 85 bucks and 25 bucks is imo, too much for some fittings and a chunk of alloy.

I'm kind of slow, but I finally finished that, hope to install the drivetrain permanently this weekend.

Giant picture dump, much progress attained this weekend.

Engine installed. To recapp, this was a 22re/auto. I moved the R150 V6 trans back 4" on it's factory R150 crossmember, then mated the engine and trans to locate the mounts fore/aft.

Little concerned about the downpipe, at a minimum I'm going to have to move/relocate the brake lines, not a huge deal, don't really mind that, I think the factory Toyota system is stupid anyway. I may wind up with a body lift though, which will help almost everything, except they look dumb.

When I went to cut the hole for the shifters, I found out that a 4" setback lands the R150 right in the auto hole lol.

This also had a rear shift transfer case previously, top shift now.

I fitted an ammo can I have here as a console, I think I like it better than the console.

There's a bunch of damage from the carpet and wet feet on the drivers side floor, so no more carpet in here I guess.

My injectors, lift pump, and starter bolts arrived yesterday. I may be able to actually fire this thing pretty soon with no exhaust.

That's excellent! I am looking forward to seeing (and hearing) it run!
