From what I have read the ride quality suffers alot with a live axle. Not that it has a smooth ride to begin with.

I dont think I have ever seen anybody so geeked out over a horse trailer...
We will be hauling 6 horses, 30+ dogs, 50+ bales of hay, 600+ gallons of water, all fabrication tools and anything else you could think of for living on the road for months at a time including an 8ft pickup camper. This will be split between our two rigs.

July we will be in the Upper Peninsula, August we will be in South Dakota and Montana, and then Canada in September. After that we will be hitting most of the southern states through out the winter. Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Florida, N. S. Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia.

Yeah its just a horse trailer but between our Bloomer and this trailer there is no reason that we could not spend 365 days of the year on the road. Alaska will be fit somewhere in there too.

Some electrical stuff that will be going into the truck. CB, Brake controller, 350 watt inverter.

Got the B&W hitch mocked in a bit. It is originally for a 90s Ford but a little bit of fabbin' and it will be more solid than they come stock. Not sure if any of you have seen the play that some B&W 30k GN have but it is quite a bit, enough for you to look everything over.

The hitch will be mounted about a foot behind the rear axle, maybe a little more depending on the clearance needed for the camper. Shouldnt be any issue being mounted behind the axle, if it makes the truck squat more I will be thankful. The more load on this truck the better it rides. Empty it will jar your fillings hitting a pot hole.

Got a water tank today. 325 gallons, little over 2700lb full.

Full in the picture, truck is hardly squatting with no overloads and 11 leaf spring packs.

Sold this guy yesterday, time for an 8' camper now.

How it looks now.

My mother is an expert seamstress and she made me a nice denim seat cover.

PANTERA, Metallica, America and tall shifters is how I roll.

Work Fit.

Some pre 1900 Railroad Iron that I have found over the past few days.

She likes the loud exhaust. :finger:
