Couple good deer runs go through the middle of the property, I was going to start my deer blind a few Weeks ago, got stuck working 6 days though.

 

I have no problem with crossbow hunters but is there a reason you're not considering a compound? Personally I think it's a lot more challenging and rewarding, and with the new tech they have longer range than a crossbow.

 

technically a compound is illegal to use during gun season. Dumb. I agree with you, and I prefer to use my compound over a crossbow, but any compound that can keep up with even an entry level crossbow is very expensive. A good quality 340 fps crossbow is only $350 or so, including bolts. You'll never get a good quality 340 compound with arrows for that price.

I can't wait for Oct 1st. Already took the 1st-3rd off work. The wait is killing me. Already losing sleep thinking about it. ugh.

Editors notes; I have a Bear Lights Out II compound and a Barnett Raptor crossbow.
