I have been searching for any and all information on Drummond.
A few of us have been kicking around the idea of a wheeling trip for sometime next year that is more than just a weekend, and is “farther away” from the usual spots in central MI.
For us Drummond is about a 400 mile trip, is it worth it, or are we better off to head south to Harlan (470miles)?
How is the terrain on the ORV route, and the Turtle Ridge Park?
When is the best time of year to go?
I read in another thread that the new ORV route is 40 or 50 miles long. Is it possible to wheel it all in one day, and if not, is it possible to pull a rustic camping permit and just camp somewhere along the route?
Drummond is a place I would defiantly like to wheel, but if it’s more two tracking than wheeling, I think I would rather spend the time and money elsewhere on something more challenging.
Any and all info is greatly appreciated.
