You'll have to call me and let me know how the D300 went. I still need to get a clocking ring for mine. and 4:1's. and figure out the crossmember mounts. and get the driveshafts modified after it's installed. CRAP ! will this ever end !~

Friday:
cut brackets out
Saturday:
Dropped gas tank out, cut spring perches off D35, Put 14B under vehicle at height and placement, cut steel for 14B truss, finished grinding brackets, made brackets and tapped plates for rear lower link crossmember. Broke (2) 3/8-16 taps in the tapped plates, need to get another tap :teehee:
Sunday:
Got torches working, bent 14B truss to shape, notched truss for tube, drilled all the bracket holes, tacked upper brackets to truss.
About 11am the heater started up and made its usual horrific noises, then made an aweful noise. Apparently the motor stopped(seized) fast enough for the fan blades to shear right off. Needless to say I either need a heater motor and fan or another heater. Anyone have a place to get heater parts? It got cold over the next 4 hours :sonicjay:
In no particular order......

Last night finished tapping the lower link crossmember tap pads that will be welded to the frame. Noticed then that I'll have driveshaft clearance issues on full droop in the rear so......

Lincoln 135 does a nice job on the stuff up to 1/4".

Saturday, finished getting lower link crossmember brackets tacked into place. Cut out upper brackets, drilled holes, and prebuilt. S.Hembree stopped by before our Yankee snow run and helped me get the rear truss and axle side lowers tacked in place.

Sunday I had to finish up with the plasma cutter to return it. Thanks Ed! I cut all my front brackets out. I also cut the brackets off the front 60. I got the lower crossmember tacked on the frame and clamped an upper in place to see what it's going to look like. That's where I'm at for now.

103-104 depending on how far I can push the front and still run a steering box.
I just sent my steering box off to psc and they put a reverse gear in it so the pitman arm faced forward. This will allow you to put it where you want

They are about 3" behind where the normal skid plate ends. I'll have to see what I can do to support them. I've got a couple idea's but nothing in stone yet.
maybe just some lateral gusseting since thats the weak axis with sheet material, (even with the joint bolted in). also, the further out the joint is from the member the more it wants to twist when it takes a hit. but - youve got beefy stuff going here, i would think if anything there just an occasional sticking point - not an issue.

speaking of sticking points - dont remember the exact years on 14b's - i think 88 and older, or 89 and newer . . . one of the case designs has a wicked lip on the bottom thats worth looking at deleting. not so much for height but to not get hung up on things - not sure what youve got, just fwiw.

nice build btw :thumb: youll be done and wheeling while im still measuring sh!t - :sonicjay:
